Buzz was forgiven by Kevin for ruining his solo during the Christmas pageant, and they wished each other a Merry Christmas. At present, it’s unclear how Ratray’s case will play out. It’s clear that the accusations aren’t anything that will endear the public to the actor, despite his past involvement in both Home Alone films – the likes of which are typically regarded as two of the most beloved Christmas films of all time. Devin, who played Buzz McCallister in the beloved holiday film, had the alleged spat with his now-ex girlfriend about two weeks ago. HOME Alone star Devin Ratray was snapped in a police mugshot after he was arrested for allegedly "trying to strangle his girlfriend."

Ratray had been in Oklahoma City to attend a Home Alone event called Buzzed With Buzz, in which the film was screened, followed by a question and answer period. The dispute between him and his girlfriend reportedly occurred in their hotel room before Ratray was arrested and booked on two domestic assault and battery complaints. It’s not the first time a Home Alone alum has been arrested, however. Strangely enough, Culkin was also arrested in Oklahoma City, in 2004 for possession of marijuana, Xanax and Klonopin. Culkin eventually plead guilty and received three suspended prison sentences as well as a fine. The actor who played Buzz in comedy classic Home Alone finally confesses about his character's real girlfriend in Home Alone.
Home Alone: Why Buzz's Girlfriend Cameo Is So Strange
Home Alone begins with the buzz of the holiday in a home full of family. Set in Chicago, there is snow and cheer as everyone prepares to leave for a family vacation in Paris. Eight-year-old Kevin gets into trouble, is sent to the room in the attic, and is left behind the following morning as everyone rushes to make their flight.

As things currently stand, Ratray has cast a dark shadow over the Home Alone franchise this holiday season, with news arriving that he has been involved in a particularly troubling incident involving his girlfriend. "The art director had a son who was more than willing to volunteer for the part. I think if he had known it would become the highest-grossing family comedy of all time, he might have had second thoughts about it." While there might be a compliment or two to give the producers for at least thinking that scene would have been too mean to cast a girl for it, the choice to have the art director's son instead dress up as a girl only to be mocked isn't really any better. It still forces the scene to take several steps back into cringe-worthy, insensitive territory. Frankly, that scene wouldn't fly too well among audiences today and, in retrospect, it has probably aged poorly. But, despite the scene, "Home Alone" could still be considered by many as a flawed comedy gem.

The holidays are upon us, and for many, that means stressful gift shopping, filling the home with decorations evoking seasonal cheer, and watching some classic Christmas movies. For most Home Alone fans, it’s Kevin who remains the most memorable. His cute and potentially lethal desire to protect his family home at all costs after being left to his own devices over the Christmas holidays resulted in a blockbuster hit for filmmaker Chris Columbus. For what it’s worth, however, Buzz does have some great scenes as well, and this continues in the second film in which Kevin boards the wrong plane and is taken to New York City without his family. As far as annoying older brothers go in the history of cinema, Buzz is undoubtedly ranked somewhere near the top, but few would have expected that the bullying he does in the film would actually rear its head in his real-life behavior. The idea of making fun of a young girl's appearance for a cheap laugh might seem too cruel.

Little do they know, the story behind the picture is equally as unforgettable at the scene in the movie. Keep reading to find out the truth about Buzz’s girlfriend from Home Alone. A fan favorite and not just during the holidays, Home Alone is a wonderful movie. This is Buzz's girlfriend who was actually the producer's son (they didn't want to make real girl sad). We offer this 4x6 glossy print and we also offer a 3 replica prop set. The set includes Buzz's girlfriend photo, a 8.5x11 inch battle plan, and the 8.5x11 inch Wanter Flyer.
Why Home Alone Is Such An Iconic Movie
This caused Kevin to leave home and stay with their father and his girlfriend Natalie Kalban at their home for Christmas. On Christmas morning, a truckload of gifts came to the Plaza Hotel as a reward for Kevin foiling Harry and Marv's attempt to rob Duncan's Toy Chest. Buzz realized that had it not been for Kevin getting on the wrong flight, they would not be in the suite with the Christmas tree and the gifts in the first place, and he told the rest of the family this. Much to Kevin's gladness, Buzz decided to let Kevin open the first present as they reconciled. By doing that, he tossed him a gift, only letting him catch it.
It must have been incredibly painful and hard to watch this scene back then, and it probably doesn't make it any easier now knowing this girl is really a boy pulling a goof for some laughs. Following Kevin’s realization that he has been left behind, he enjoys having the whole house to himself. He eats copious amounts of junk food while watching shows too old for him, jumps on the bed while eating popcorn, uses his father’s aftershave , and rummages through the room of his older brother, Buzz . While scavenging, Kevin finds a picture of Buzz’s girlfriend, makes a disgusted face, and slams the picture back down, saying, “Buzz… your girlfriend.
Buzz only acts nicely when he gets something good out of Kevin's actions, like when they got presents in New York. When Buzz found out his room was trashed, he gets angry with Kevin again. Kate took Buzz and Megan to the mansion, finding that Kevin and Prescott had dealt with the intruders. Marv and Vera attempted to escape, but Buzz and Megan sneaked around the back and tripped them up, holding them down until the police arrived.
Law enforcement sources tell us they were called to a Hyatt near downtown OKC earlier this week for a domestic dispute between Ratray and his girlfriend. Buzz's girlfriend is a girl mentioned in the first Home Alone film. They specifically asked for boys when casting for this role.
However, he then grinned to Kevin, saying, "Beat that, you little trout sniffer!", showing that he probably didn't mean anything he said. Kevin left the room angry with the family for believing Buzz and not him. Numerous fan theories have also come into existence about the film, most recently one that suggested Old Man Marley died before his final scene.
Buzz and the others gathered as the three intruders were arrested by the police. At this time, Peter broke up with Natalie as he wanted to return to his family, which Kate accepted. While the family packed for their trip to Paris, Buzz's cousin Rod asked who would feed Buzz's tarantula while they were away, to which Buzz replied that it ate "a whole load of mice guts", which would hold it over.
The next time you watch Home Alone, you’ll be able to see this scene from a completely different perspective. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find any additional information on the movie’s art director, Dan Webster, or his son. However, it doesn’t appear that Webster’s son went on to have a career in the entertainment industry. And looking at the picture again, it does make a lot of sense.
